Greater Annapolis Design Logo Redesign, by Whale Works Design

Greater Annapolis Design District

Logo Design, Branding and Website Design

A more user-friendly website experience. A logo that is legible, scalable and recognizable. An increase in newsletter open and click rates, social media platform engagement and event signups.

The Greater Annapolis Design District contracted me to redesign their logo, branding and website. As an Art Director for this project, I met with the administrator and production artist, Denise, and website developer, Tony of Merisign, responsible for executing my designs.

For the logo redesign, I made adjustments to the intensity of the colors, the thickness of the typography and the scalability of the logo variations.

I documented the organization’s mission, vision, personality and tone in the brand style guidelines book, established through research and interviews with GADD members, Lisa of Annapolis Interiors, Beth of What’s up Annapolis Magazine and Robert of ADU.

Instructions and visual examples for the execution and production of the brand assets show the typographic style sheets for web and print, color palettes, patterns, icons, and photography styles for future professional photo shoots.

Design mockup files and Adobe Express templates were included for all of GADD’s brand assets, to be used to create materials for GADD events, social media content, marketing and communications.
